Doi Luang Chiang Dao is Thailand’s tallest limestone mountain and one of the dream destinations of nature lovers. Other than the alpine vegetation, which is uncommon in this tropical country, the spectacular vista one can relish from its summit is simply unforgettable.
Doi Luang Chiang Dao has no reservoirs, no any natural water resources. Its few soil surface, rare water, and cold weather make the hill the only place in Thailand that is home to semi-alpine plant, which are low shrubbery, and herbaceous plant. The trees that grow here are Himalayan plant mutated into local plant. Therefore, we can find many flowers and plants that only grow in this specific place
|08:00AM-09:00AM||Pick you up from hotel/guesthouse in Chiang Mai|
|10:00 AM||Arrive at the climbing point. Get ready and prepare your equipment, we are heading to Pha Sam Phee nong. (Climbing point) This cliff is about 200 meter high. We will set up our camp here|
|08:00AM||After out breakfast we will start hiking to Doi Laung which is 2,200 meters above the sea level. After we reach the peak we will come down on the other side of Doi Laung. There we will see a beautiful grass field and here is where we camp at Aung Salung|
|08:00AM||After delicious breakfast we can walk around and enjoy the beautiful view of Doi Luang and wide range of mountains textured by green grass field. On the way back to Chiang Mai we will stop at natural hot water spring called Yang poo too|
Note: Equipment for rock climbing can be rented. Please notify us if you need to rent the equipment. Insurance is provided for all trekkers.
